Assistant Curator, Medical Library
In my role as Systematic Review Librarian, I guide research teams in planning and conducting systematic reviews and other types of evidence synthesis. I specialize in developing comprehensive search strategies for published and unpublished evidence. I teach critical appraisal of systematic reviews for evidence-based medicine, including in the Foundational Clinical Skills course. In the Department of Population Health and Vilcek Institute for Graduate Biomedical Sciences, I teach the Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis course.
My research is on research practices themselves (meta-research). Using bibliometrics, I measure the research impact of systematic reviews and identify characteristics of the most impactful systematic review publications. I investigate ways of improving both the rigor of systematic reviews and the efficiency of conducting them. A current focus of my research is on the implementation of large language models and other AI approaches in systematic reviews.
